It may help to lose fat and b build muscle for a short while but the damage in the long term will be irreversible. Do not replace your food with artificial powders. Supplements are only an addition to healthy food, not a replacement. If you have to replace a whole meal, choose a mix of nuts. In this way you will provide your metabolism with vital vitamins, fiber and fats.

Do not starve yourself

Calorie intake is not the only factor that determines weight loss. The shortest way to shedding extra inches is not starving yourself to death. Your body is a mechanism that needs proper fuel to function effectively. Healthy high quality food is the best fuel for your body; it is an irreplaceable source of vitamins, minerals and nutrients. It is not the same to consume 2000 calories from candies and junk food and 2000 calories from high-quality protein, healthy fats and vegetables with fiber.

Too much dieting can be dangerous

Whatever diet you are following, remember that a monotonous menu may harm your health. Pertaining to a certain type of eating habits for more than 4 months will not contribute to getting a better body, it will only wreck havoc in your metabolism. In fact, if the regimen is too severe, the period of dieting should be even less. Before embarking on a quest to burn fat, consult your physician. Diets such as Atkins should not be taken lightly, because if not conducted properly dieting can turn into a dangerous endeavor.
