What are the best wrinkle cream ingredients?

Retinol: Is a retinoic acid and a commonly used antioxidant that is proven to increase skin cell exfoliation.  It is also known to promote collagen synthesis which gives your skin a fuller and smoother appearance. Its power comes from its ability to stop free radicals that are known to cause damage to your skin cells which leads to lines and wrinkles. It has been known to cause irritation in some individuals with sensitive skin.

Argireline: It is the peptide (or chain of amino acids)sometimes referred to as the top alternative to Botox. It is a synthetic ingredient that targets lines and wrinkles that can occur around the eyes and forehead. It inhibits facial muscles from moving or contracting, it accomplishes this by stemming the release of neurotransmitters than are known to cause muscles to become tense and cause wrinkles. It also helps to prevent the loss of collagen and elastin which normally occurs with aging.

Matrixyl: ts makers claim it is every bit as effective as retinoic acids for reducing lines and wrinkles wrinkles and is not known to cause skin irritation as some vitamin A derivatives can.  It consists of five linked  amino acids that are attached to a single fatty acid that increases skin absorption.  Clinical studies have proven its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin growth. These help to plump and fill lines from within.

Hyaluronic Acid: a normally occurring connective tissue component.  Its primary function is to cushion and lubricate but it is also known to cause wrinkles to appear lightened through its "lifting effect".  It has been dubbed the "key to the fountain of youth" as some who ingest large quantities of it have been known to live to ripe old ages.

CoQ10: a now-famous antioxidant that can help to reduce the signs of aging from free radicals on our skin.  Co Q10 is expensive so many wrinkle creams may have it listed on the label but in very small quantities. A solution for the problem of skin penetration is a new version of the compound called Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10.  Its particles are microscopic which allows for successful skin penetration. Studies have proven that this new version is  effective at combating lines, wrinkles and sagging.

Tea Extracts: The healing properties of tea lie primarily in its ingredients known as catechins.  They have well known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.  Green tea is known to carry more catechins than black tea does and so is the most commonly used in wrinkle creams.

Deanol: DMAE is proven to cause skin firming while providing toning strength to the muscles underneath.  A study from 2005 in the American Journal of Clinical Dermatology indicated that a deanol gel at 3%, when applied to volunteers daily for sixteen straight weeks reduced their lines and wrinkles and enhanced the fullness of their lips. The study also found it to firm sagging neck skin and lift under-eye lines.

Ascorbyl Palmitate: A derivative of Vit C known to lift sagging and thinning skin by stimulating collagen synthesis.  It is also known as a powerful antioxidant and capillary strengthener.  Another derivative of vitamin C - L-Ascorbic Acid is also known to increase collagen synthesis possibly even more so than ascorbyl palmitate.

Copper Peptides: Initially used for its wound-healing abilities in the 1970s it has more recently become known for its wrinkle fighting effects.  They are known to slow down the signs of skin aging by limiting the effects of daily wear and tear, stimulating collagen growth and supporting antioxidant effectiveness. Clinical studies have proven that they are able to remove damaged collagen and elastin from existing scar tissue. Because of their anti-inflammatory potential they are considered quite useful for those who have undergone procedures like chemical peels or laser resurfacing.

Fruit Extracts: have become common in many wrinkle creams.  They are known for antioxidant properties and are often full of many types of vitamins.  They are proven to help with re-growth of collagen and are effective in improving the turnover of outer layers of dead skin and may also help to reduce scarring, and dark spots.
