No matter where you plan to go camping, you are going to be faced with the great outdoors.
Camping out in the great outdoors is one of the best experiences you will ever have, there is nothing like sleeping in a sleeping bag under the beautiful night sky.
The problem is that if you are not careful you can end up getting into quite a bit of trouble.
The first thing that you have to remember when camping is to use your common sense.
If you do not think something sounds like a good idea, then you should not do it, no matter what anybody else says.
For example, if someone tells you to use a whole can of lighter fluid when lighting a campfire, common sense should tell you that doing that is not the best idea.
Before you, do anything make sure you think it through; if it does not sound safe, it probably is not going to be safe.
The next thing you need to know about going camping is to make sure that you are prepared.
To ensure that you are prepared you should write out a list of things that you want to take with you, this way you do not forget anything.
The items that you include on your list should be things that will be used on the camping trip, but also things that can make a camping trip more comfortable.
For example, you want to include a first aid kit and a sleeping bag, but you can probably leave the video games at home.
When planning your camping trip you need to think about when you are going to leave.
You want to make sure that you leave early enough in the day so that when you arrive there are still a few hours of sunlight left.
Having the few hours of sunlight will allow you to set up your camp safely.
To ensure that you can set the tent up smoothly it helps to have set it up at home before you left, this will also ensure that all of the parts for the tent are still there.
If you plan to light a campfire, you must make sure you are not in a restricted area.
Many states that are suffering from droughts prohibit campfires during certain months of the year, mainly the hot and dry summer months because the risk of forest fires increase.
If you are allowed to light a campfire, make sure you build a fire pit with rocks or dig a hole for a fire pit.
