Earth has been exploited to its maximum limits and conventional sources of energy which come from fossil fuels are depleting fast.
It is high time that we minimize our dependence on these conventional sources and slowly shift to the renewable sources of energy.
Renewable sources of energy are those which will never finish and are constantly replenished no matter how much we use them.
The most common examples of these natural sources of energy are wind, water, sun and geothermal.
Some scientists have even been able to harness energy from very unusual sources like sea waves and waste materials.
Energy needs are ever growing and renewable sources of energy can help in fulfilling these needs in the coming years.
Use of renewable sources of energy is not all about generating energy in form of electricity or light.
It has a much bigger scope.
It is also about how you can adopt natural ways to save energy.
Although, we are still dependent on conventional sources but if all of us adopt some methods, together we can save a lot of energy at our homes.
For example, if you need to cool your room in a hot summer day, you can just open a window at the lowest point of your room and one in the highest point depending on the direction of the wind.
This will let cool air flow inside the room and hot air escape out.
You can avoid the use of dryer and make use of natural air to help you drying your clothes.
Similarly, with a little awareness each of us can save a lot of energy.
Over the years the awareness of using renewable sources of energy has increases substantially and many of us have started using solar, water or wind energy in some form or the other.
The initial costs of installing such systems could be high initially but in the long run they are a lot economical.
It will take some time for us to get rid of the fossil fuels but the day is not too far when all of us will be using some form of renewable sources of energy at our homes.
