Obtain Your Unlock Code

• 1). Get your phone's IMEI code by pressing "*#06#" on your device. You need the IMEI code to obtain the unlock code. Alternatively, remove the battery cover and battery to view the IMEI code. It is listed on the compliance sticker inside your battery compartment.
  
  
• 2). Dial "611" to reach your mobile provider's customer service line (611 connects you to customer service, regardless of your mobile provider).
  
  
• 3). Press the corresponding button to reach a live agent. The automated voice message will tell you what button to press.
  
  
• 4). Request the unlock code for your device. Be prepared to tell the agent why you want the code. For example, if you will travel overseas and need to use another SIM card while traveling, the phone must be unlocked.
  
  
• 5). Purchase a code online, if the agent is unable to give you the code (see Resources). Be prepared to enter the phone's IMEI number and your billing information.
  
  

Enter the Unlock Code

• 1). Remove the battery cover and battery and insert the SIM card that currently works into the device. Do not insert a new SIM card. Replace the battery cover and power on the device by pressing the "Power" button located on top of the device.
  
  
• 2). Press the telephone icon to display the Viewty keypad. Type "2945#*990#". Select "Sim Unlock" in the window that appears.
  
  
• 3). Select "Network Lock" and enter the unlock code. Press "OK" after you have entered the code. The device will restart and will be unlocked. You can now use a new SIM card.
