How do you find the best niche markets? This can be answered by two words: Keyword research. I'm sure many marketers would agree that the best niche markets are the ones that are most profitable. So how do find out which niche markets are more favorable than others. You will need to get your hands on some sort of keyword research tool.

There are several free ones on the web as well as paid ones. With the proper keyword tool you will be able to research and find what keywords people are using to lookup on the internet. A keyword research tool in my opinion is the most important item you can have as far as niche marketing or any other type of online marketing for that matter. How can you possibly know what the best niche is if you don't know what people are looking for.

Google also has a free keyword research tool. Its free and you can use it to look up possible keywords in a niche that you are interested in. This tool will also give you an idea of how much competition you have for that niche. If everyone under the sun is bidding and paying for particular keywords you have in mind then you will need to refine your keywords or find a new niche. If this sounds at all complicated, don't worry its not. You will just need some free time to do some research.

Ultimately what you are looking for is a group of keywords that people are using to look things up online and then see how much competition there is. Don't ever be afraid of competition but when you are starting out it is better to find a niche that is less popular. Reason for this is that successful marketers will have all the money they need to advertise. Many people start out on a small budget and that's ok.

There are a couple of different ways to find the best niche markets. What I usually do is I do the keyword research first. Some would say I do this backwards but is totally right for me. Instead of spending all my time looking for the right product I look for the demand. There is no sense in wasting time on product research only to find that there is no market for it. That's why my way is best for me. I will spend my time finding out what people want or what they are looking for first. When I find what people want then I will go and get a product for these potential customers. I will also make sure that my competition for my particular keywords are being used by everyone else. Keyword research is a whole separate topic of its own but this is needed in helping you find out what the best niche markets are.

In summary, always remember that the best niche markets are the ones that can make you the most money and always have considerably less competition for you. This will always put more money in your pocket. Here's a perfect example. As I was doing some research last night I noticed that one of my products have to do with pit bulls. After about 10 minutes of research I realized no one is paying for the keyword pit bull. I'm not sure why yet. Thousands of people every month do searches on different keywords regarding pit bulls and yet only about 4 people seem to be advertising. Who knows, maybe I stumbled on a new niche.
