How to Get a Gasoline Smell Out of the Washing Machine

    • 1). Fill a container with 2 cups of distilled white vinegar.

    • 2). Add ½ cup baking soda to the vinegar and mix thoroughly. Vinegar and baking soda are natural deodorizers that remove odors without using harsh chemicals.

    • 3). Set your washing machine to the hottest setting and allow the drum to begin to fill with water.

    • 4). Add the vinegar-baking soda to the washing machine. Shut the lid and allow the washer to run through a complete cycle.

    • 5). Repeat the process until the gasoline smell is gone.
