- Created by PopCap, "Insaniquarium" is a game that tasks you with breeding fish and watching them grow. While doing this, you must fight off obstacles such as aliens and robots, which enter your fish tank to try and kill your fish. The objective of the game is to collect enough coins to buy three parts of an egg. At the end of each level, the egg opens to reveal a new ally.
- Upgrade your food so that you can feed multiple fish at one time. If you only have the ability to feed one fish at a time, many of the fish will starve and die before you can get to them. When you can feed multiple fish, click the top of the water to drop the food. This will allow the fish to get hungry and swim to the food, so that the food does not touch the bottom and disappear.
- Turn on your computer speakers and turn up the volume. When you hear a siren noise, this means that aliens are going to appear in your tank. Once the alien appears, click on it to fire a laser. Fire the laser to one side of the alien and he will drift to the other side. Repeat this move to keep him away from your fish. Also use special animals like the whale to shelter all of your fish when an alien appears.
- Before every round, you will get to choose three allies to take with you to the new fish tank. Each ally has strengths and weaknesses, so choose wisely. One fish that you should choose as often as possible is the pregnant mother guppy. She will lay a new baby fish every few seconds. You will save money because you will only have to buy a few fish in the beginning. After that, the mother guppy will keep your tank full of new babies to feed. Other allies to choose are the sea creatures who help you earn more money, such as the mermaid.
- A special fish in "Insaniquarium" is the Santa fish. When you are playing in the virtual tank section of the game, click on a fish and type in the name "santa." The fish will turn into a Santa fish. This new fish will drop large bags of shells instead of small coins.
