- Your horse will lose morale overnight and any time that you do not visit or ride it regularly. To keep morale high, make sure you follow all of the Horse Care objectives. Brush and wash your pet regularly and clean out the stall at least three times a week. Talk often to both your horse and the other trainers in the area. As you perform these tasks, you should notice a morale increase. Try to do all of the Horse Care disciplines early in the day to allow for time to ride and speak with others.
- Talking to other riders, trainers and the handlers is important to keep your social standing high. If you notice a sharp drop in rating, head to the Student Centre and speak with all of the trainers there. Not speaking to others for a long time makes them forget you and causes this drop. Talking to the other trainers should stabilize your rating and you can improve it by coming back to the Centre daily. Your social rating is also determined by your performance in events such as dressage and showjumping. If you struggle with either of these events, you may not be able to attain the highest ratings.
- Races in the game are often required to advance the storyline and are an important part of gameplay. When racing, always try to stay in the front of the pack. Don't worry about leading the race from the start--what is important is that you lead at the finish. Push your horse as hard as possible in the final lap. It's best to start this at the three-quarter mark of the lap to ensure victory. Keep an eye out for shortcuts and paths as you ride. If you don't use these, other riders will take these and arrive at the finish line before you.
