The first ski resort in Colorado--Arapahoe Basin Ski Area--was built for a mere $150,000 in 1946. Skiers could purchase lift tickets to use the one tow rope for just $3 per day. A lot has changed since then. Vacationing in a resort in Colorado can add up to hundreds of dollars a day per person. Yet, there are still cheap resorts in Colorado---even some with lift tickets that are less than $3 per day. - Stone Mountain is an inexpensive Colorado resort where weddings can be held.wedding image by Mat Hayward from Fotolia.com
