Stone Mountain offers a variety of wedding packages each year for 20 to 50 percent off of standard rates. You will get the best savings of 50 percent if you book a half-day, day-time (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) wedding on specific dates in 2011. Specials have also been offered for Colorado residents, who can get 20 percent off of accommodations on certain dates. Check with Stone Mountain if your venue falls through as they offer specials of 30 percent off for last minute weddings (60 days or less before your ceremony) for a few months each year.

Keystone Resort Self-Catering Condos

• You can save money by booking a self-catering condo at Keystone Resort. Cooking for yourself can substantially cut down on how much you spend while you are at the resort. As of Fall 2010, Keystone offered savings of up to 25 percent on stays of four nights or more in their two bedroom "Forest Condos". The accommodations fee includes an Adventure Passport that allows you to enjoy many activities for free, or at least receive a discount. These activities include fly-fishing clinics, complimentary golf on the day you arrive, a free appetizer or bottle of wine at the Bighorn Steakhouse, country dancing and a variety of fitness and family-friendly activities. Copper Mountain Resort

• The Copper Mountain Resort in the Colorado Mountains, 75 miles from Denver, offered three "book before" specials as of Fall 2010. These start at $129 per person, per night for standard "sliver" double occupancy. Kids ski free, and your food is just $25 per day if you book by October 31, 2010.
