  Taunton, Mass., is known as both the Silver City and Christmas City. Taunton once was the centerpiece of the silver industry, and it puts up extravagant holiday light display on the Taunton Green every December. Although Taunton has only one hotel, accommodations are available in the neighboring town of Raynham.
