The town of Bristol, Rhode Island, hosts the oldest continuous Fourth of July parade and celebration in the nation--since 1785. Situated on Narragansett Bay's Bristol Harbor, Bristol is known for its colonial architecture, shops and restaurants, and small-town atmosphere. Most of Bristol's hotels and inns are near to the town center or directly on the waterfront. - The Bristol Harbor Inn is a boutique-style hotel located on Bristol Harbor. The hotel contains 40 rooms, and guests are within 100 yards of the pier at Thames Street Landing. The Landing features shops, restaurants and benches overlooking the harbor, ending at a waterfront park.
