World of Warcraft Rogue Strategy Guide - 5 Tips to a Better Rogue

In this World of Warcraft Rogue strategy guide, I will be covering some of the best strategies for improving your Rogue in WoW.
These are some routine mistakes I see being made daily; read on to discover what they are so you do not end up looking like a newbie! 1.
Do not attack from the front when you are in groups or raids.
Bad Rogues always do this and it drives the rest of the group crazy.
When you attack a mob from the front, it can parry and dodge your attacks and cleave you.
Simply stand behind mobs (even as a combat Rogue) to deal more damage and reduce the amount of damage you take.
2.
Do not chain cleave.
This goes along with point number 1.
Some monsters have a cleave ability which "chains", meaning it is passed along from one person to another in a chain.
Think of it like electricity; if lightning strikes a body of water and you are in the water, the electricity could jump to you.
Cleave works much in the same way.
If the main tank is cleaved and no one is around him, only the tank will take damage.
If you are close to the main tank and close to other melee DPS standing in the back, not only will you be hit with the same cleave as the main tank, but you will also "chain" the cleave to other players in your group.
This is a common occurrence when standing to close to the mob or standing on its side.
Stay in the back and keep your distance.
3.
Do not turn your back on your enemy if you are tanking.
A Rogue's defense is his dodge, and you cannot dodge attacks when you are not facing the enemy.
If you are taking melee hits, be sure to face your enemy and pop evasion if the damage is heavy enough.
You should be able to dodge nearly all melee attacks as long as you are facing your opponent, whether it be a raid boss or a Warrior.
4.
Use Vanish to reset your threat meter.
As a Rogue, it is possible to pull a monster off the main tank by doing a lot of damage.
You can avoid this by vanishing at regular intervals.
Vanish takes you off the monster's radar and resets your hate to 0, so you do not have to hold back on damage dealt.
5.
If you somehow do pull hate and Vanish is not available, stand where the main tank is standing.
If you do pull hate, you want to face the mob away from the raid group so they do not get hit with cleave (see point #2) or get hit with cone-shaped attacks (like a dragon's breath attack).
Stand where the tank is (facing away from the raid) so the tank can get hit with cleave to generate more rage to regain control of the monster.
