- 1). Install the sink and faucet in the vanity counter before placing the counter on the cabinet. Place the sink on two sawhorses and apply an even coat of silicone caulk around the drain opening in the sink.
- 2). Press the sink’s drain piece into the hole in the bottom of the sink. Slide the washer and rubber gasket over the drain piece under the sink, and then tighten the retaining nut over the washer and gasket. Wipe up any silicone caulk that squeezes out from under the drain piece using a rag.
- 3). Spread an even layer of plumber’s putty on the faucet deck plate. Position the deck plate so its holes line up with the faucet holes in the sink and then insert the faucet’s lower connections through the holes in the deck plate and sink.
- 4). Slide the washers over the faucet’s lower connections and tighten the nuts on the faucet’s threads under the sink with your hands. Clamp an adjustable wrench to the nuts and turn them until they are tight and the faucet does not move at all.
- 5). Spread silicone caulk around the sink cutout in the counter. Place the counter on the two saw horses and lower the sink into the cutout. Apply silicone caulk evenly to the top of the cabinet and lower the counter over the cabinet, and then gently rest the counter in place.
- 6). Secure the sink faucet lines to the appropriate valves using a wrench to complete the installation. Attach the cold line to the cold water valve and the hot line to the hot water valve. Apply plumber's tapes to threads beforehand to prevent leaks.
