- 1). Check with the manufacturer of the concrete blocks you're using to get a recommended adhesive to use on the corner blocks. Different types of blocks will work best with different adhesives, so it's important to check with the manufacturer.
- 2). Lay the first row of concrete blocks up to the curve. The first layer should be laid with the tongue side up, and the tongues should be aligned with one another. Stop the first row in time to leave space for your corner concrete block, which will be larger than the tongue-and-groove blocks.
- 3). Place the corner piece at the end of the row. Then, continue down the opposite direction, laying another row of blocks tongue side up. Now, you will have a complete first row of two sides of the wall.
- 4). Set the concrete blocks groove side down on top of the first rows you laid. The grooves are placed right over the tongues to lock the blocks in place. Leave the space on top of the corner block empty.
- 5). Apply two beads of the manufacturer-recommended adhesive to the center of the corner block you already laid. The beads should stretch from one side to the other, but keep them a few inches from the edges so it doesn't bleed out when you place the block on top.
- 6). Put the next corner block in place right on top of the adhesive you laid down. Wiggle it a little to get it in place right up against the other blocks. Now, continue laying rows and gluing corner blocks in place to create the curve in your structure.
