A friend of mine urged me to switch to body weight movements, and I was able to lose all the fat that I had gained, and even more, without doing any cardio! Here's the thing: the moment your workouts become stale, boring, or easy...
switch them up! This is what happened to me.
There's nothing particularly wrong with gym workouts.
They give you results.
But, some of the reasons why people don't see results with their gym workouts is because their time consuming, inconvenient, and boring.
The moment I switched to body weight movements, I was working out more often since I could literally wake up in the morning and workout right then and there in my bedroom.
However, I soon became bored with my typicalpushups, pullups, and body weight squats routine.
Hence, I started looking for some body weight exercise variations.
That is when I discovered Circular Strength Training (CST) bodyweight exercises.
These exercises are beyond typical pushups, pullups, and body weight squats.
The whole focus of CST is to move your body through as many planes of motions as possible.
In fact, they have a theory that there are 6 "degrees of freedom" that you should move your body through.
These planes of motion include:
- Heaving - Moving up and down the vertical axis
- Surging - Moving along the front-to-back axis
- Swaying - Moving along the side-to-side axis
- Yawing - Moving around the vertical axis
- Rolling - Moving around the front-to-back axis
- Pitching - Moving around the side-to-side axis
You need to also incorporate other exercises that allow you to train the other five degrees of freedom.
Trust me, my body feels much better when I started using CST exercises and training theory.
