  The rubber duck is a good choice for a gender-neutral baby shower theme. With a little imagination and use of common items, the little yellow duck can serve as inspiration for decorations, games, favors and party food.
  
  

Decorations

• Rubber or stuffed ducks, bubbles and bright yellow colors set the decorative foundation for the shower. Rubber ducky invitations will reveal the theme to each guest. Yellow and white streamers, rubber duck party plates, confetti and cups dress up the party area. A bouquet with a mixture of blue and white balloons representing soap bubbles topped with one duck balloon is an idea for a themed display at the party. An infant-sized bathtub can hold the party gifts or be filled with ice and soft drinks.
  
  

Party Games and Favors

• A tray filled with baby items including decorative rubber ducks is shown to the party goers before being covered with a towel. The guests must list the items, including listing the character ducks wearing sunglasses, a veil or pearls, for example. Liven up the party with a game of "Duck, Duck, Baby" instead of Goose. Give party goers tiny decorative soaps, origami-fold washcloth duck characters and bubbles for game prizes and favors.
  
  

Food

• A collection of rubber duck cookies personalized with the names of each guest are wrapped in cellophane for a delicious take-home favor. Finger sandwiches made from bread slices that have been cut with a large duck-shaped cookie cutter will be attractive when arranged on a blue platter. A yellow duck-shaped cake or large tiered cake with a rubber duck centered on the top is the centerpiece for the food table. A large glass bowl filled with blue gelatin topped with rubber ducks is an alternative for a cake.
