- 1). Use the park and wait lot (located on your right as you enter the airport) if you're picking up a passenger and don't need to go inside the terminal. It's free, and large electronic signs display the status of all incoming flights. (Success here depends on talking to your passenger ahead of time and asking that he come directly outside to the passenger pickup area.)
- 2). Park facing the signs, and watch the updates. There's no time restriction (you can park as long as you need to), but you can't leave your vehicle. When your passenger's flight has landed and luggage is available, the status changes to "Ready for pickup."
- 3). Follow the directional arrows to exit the lot. Once on the road into the airport, bear to your left to the passenger pickup lane, which is nearest the parking garage. (The lanes closest to the terminals are passenger drop-off lanes.) Passengers flying Delta, SkyWest or ExpressJet will be at the furthest of the two terminals (Terminal 2); passengers on all other airlines will be at the nearest terminal (Terminal 1).
- 4). Use caution as you drive along the curb; there are, as the saying goes, "sudden stops and starts." When you see your passenger, pull up to the curb, load as quickly as possible, and carefully enter the lanes that exit the airport. Follow the arrows out of the airport.
- 1). Follow directional arrows to the short-term parking if you'll be at the airport for a short time but need to go inside the terminal. The short-term, or hourly/daily parking, is located in the parking garage right next to the terminals.
- 2). Take a ticket from the electronic machine when you enter the lot. Don't lose it; if you do, you'll be charged the daily maximum rate when you leave the airport.
- 3). Park on the first level if you'll just be at the airport for part of the day; park on one of the other levels if you'll be longer. The first 30 minutes are free; after that, you're charged for each 20-minute period. Disabled parking is available on all three levels. The nearest door leads to Terminal 1 (for all airlines other than Delta, SkyWest and ExpressJet). The farthest door leads to Terminal 2.
- 1). Follow directional arrows to the long-term (economy) lots if you'll be at the airport a day or longer. These large lots are located around the perimeter of the airport on its west side. Daily rates in these lots are 75 percent less than daily rates in short-term parking.
- 2). Take a ticket from the electronic machine when you enter the lot. Don't lose it; if you do, you'll be charged the weekly maximum rate when you leave the airport. Fees are by the hour for the first day, by the day, and by the week.
- 3). Park anywhere. The airport runs shuttle buses every five minutes from these lots to the terminals, and there are plenty of shelters throughout the lots where you can sit and wait for a bus. Just make sure you write down where you parked so you can find your vehicle when you return. Disabled parking is available near every shelter.
