7 Steps For a Barbell Curl

Most of the beginners like to make their biceps as much attractive as they can.
Initially their main focus is to give them as much shape as possible.
The main reason is that the opposite sex tends to be attracted to this specific feature.
There are two major parts of arm known as long head and short head and brachialis which is the small muscle near your elbow.
If you want to develop a good bicep than you need to do different exercises that can provide you with the best result.
A type of exercise known as dumbbell or barbell will help you achieve the maximum out of your arm.
Here are seven steps for effective barbell curl.
1.
First thing to do is to decide how many times you will perform this exercise in a week.
You need to be consistent if you want to get the best result.
So it is important that you decide and plan your workout sessions accordingly.
2.
Before starting your workout session always do some stretching and some breathing.
This will save you from any injuries that may occur.
3.
Warm up a bit by using light weights and do at least 15 repetitions before moving to the main workout session.
4.
When you done all the above steps than all you need to do is stand and keep your feet apart, aligning them with your shoulders.
Other stances can also be used but this one is the most common and recommended stance.
5.
Now pick up the barbell and bring it up to your chest level.
Try not to bend your torso and keep it as steady as possible.
It is up to you to touch your chest, if you cross the vertical line the tension in your biceps will stop.
6.
To get more tension to your biceps stop a couple of inches short of your chest.
This will increase the tension and your session will be more effective.
7.
When you are done with your repetitions leave the equipment and get yourself a drink.
Depending on your stamina and endurance you can carry out the workout session for as long as possible.
This is one of the simplest and effective barbell curl exercise.
You will find different exercises in fitness centers and magazines.
You don't need to hire a professional trainer for all this.
All you need is the right equipment and you can do these sessions at your home.
