You hear a lot of stories about World of Warcraft player versus player.
Why would you want to play PVP? Different people will have different opinions about this topic and here is mine.
PVP is a chance to test your skills against other WoW players.
To see who plays their character well enough to excel in a format designed to pit one player against the other requires a great deal of practice and a knowledge of the capabilities and weaknesses of your chosen class.
Depending on how well you play your character will have a lot to do with how well you will succeed in PVP.
Every class can do well in player versus player if they can offset their weaknesses by playing on their strengths.
Having fast reaction time and staying on the move are good ways to make yourself harder to target and if you are hard to target, your survival rate will be higher.
Besides just being fun, another reason to play PVP in World of Warcraft is to save up your badges and honor points that you get.
With these badges and points you can buy some very nice pieces of armor and sweet weapons.
For many players, these will be their first epic pieces and can be used in player versus environment (PVE) as upgrades to help you survive in tougher dungeons and raids.
The main reason to purchase these items though is improve your PVP armor since these items are designed for that.
They typically have nice stats including resilience and many have slots to equip gems to improve them even more.
Gem slots are nice because you can add gems with whatever stats you like to improve your armor according to your play style.
