How to Use Your Investor Visa

Now you have an investor visa and you need to know how to use it.
This type of visa allows a person to enter into the United States to work as long as you are controlling an investment of some type while inside the United States.
You must remember to renew the visa every other year.
You can renew it over and over as long as you remember to renew it right on time.
The investment must be quite large in size and must be able to create jobs or boost the US economy some how.
It's important that you create as many jobs as you can within a reasonable amount.
The normal cash investment on an investor visa is $50,000 minimum.
This will depend on what type of business you decide to invest in, is it new or old, and more.
If the amount is less than $50,000 it is important that you have a good reason for it.
Any money should only be spent on the business itself.
If you do not spend the money directly on the business then you cannot count it toward the required total.
It's important that you keep all the receipts so you can show where your money went and how you plan to get it back.
A business plan is necessary to ensure that you are coming over to the United States in order to profit but also to grow the economy.
If you are starting up a business in the United States you must make sure that the investment you place is large enough to not only start the business but to operate it as well and as long as you have an Investor visa.
If you purchase a business with only half the money, the government will want an explanation on the other half of the money.
It all must be invested by the visa holder.
If after obtaining your visa, you are starting a construction business or some type of management business such as an office building or shopping mall you need to have more capital down to invest at first.
There is a type of sliding scale used by the USCIS that will help to determine if the investment you put down is sufficient enough to start your business.
Once the business has been completed or is closed, the investors who have an visa must then return back to their original country or they have the option to change their status.
If you have an E-2 Investor Visa you will be allowed to leave the country whenever you choose and return within six months of departure.
When you decide on a business, and apply for your visa, you will need to contact an immigration attorney who will help you make the business transaction free and clear.
Once you are able to contact the right attorney for your business, he or she can handle all your paperwork and file for an application for an investor visa.
Once you receive your visa you will be able to begin your journey over to the United States to start your business and live the American dream.
