The detective
Criminals, BEWARE.
You can't hide from my stare.
When it comes to crimes, the police and the detectives are the closest to the real superheroes that we can have in our society. Fantasizes of being one professionally is really cool. However, when you are really one and are in action, it is less than cool. In fact, detectives' lives are at stake.
So, I believe they deserve a bumper sticker. Something that will endorse the kind of work they do every day. This example is actually kind of cheesy, but I believe it exudes the kind of strength that detectives have within them.
The prosecuting attorney
Make way.
I bring criminals to justice.
When the detective's strength is in finding criminals, the prosecuting attorney's strength is in making sure that the guilty won't go unpunished. Prosecuting attorneys are usually the attorneys of victims in a crime. They do everything in their and criminal law's powers to bring justice to their victims.
They make use of the evidence and depositions that the detectives have gathered to make a solid case against the accused. The bumper sticker I came up with might be a little lame compared to the awesome work that these attorneys do every day. But it is saying something about their nature.
The defense attorney
Watch out!
Best defense attorney in town is behind the wheel.
Obviously, the defense attorney's job is the opposite of the prosecuting attorney's. Defense attorneys are known to become a clever bunch. They can find loopholes in criminal law that can acquit their client. Some acquittals are just based on nothing more than technicalities.
A defense attorney who sports this kind of bumper sticker might seem as cocky, but it is most likely true. He or she is not the best one in town but one of the best nonetheless.
The judge and jury
Drive carefully!
Or I'll see you in my court.
Well, of course, the judge has the right to see an irresponsible driver in his or her court-although, technically, this is more the job of a judge assigned in traffic cases. Still, the threat of authority is there.
I gather only a fun judge or jury person will paste one of these bumper stickers on his or her car. Still, the more serious of the lot can still have bumper stickers of their own, depending on their own humor and disposition.
The court reporter / precinct reporter
No criminal case
Can escape my pen.
How can we know about a certain criminal case if the court/precinct reporter does not retell the accounts to us? Reporters are the superheroes of the people. Not all of us have the time or interest to go to court and attend trials. With regard to the bumper sticker I have provided here, reporters technically use computers these days. However, the pen is still a symbol of writing and information. I reckon a traditional reporter will want this as a bumper sticker.
