Many medical ailments and diseases are usually easily diagnosed and can be gotten rid of by way of medicine or possibly surgery.
But some diseases are very complex and are not seen right away.
Conditions like becoming anorexic and bulimic for example, are very complex and can harm both the mental as well as the physical body.
Bulimia and Anorexia Nervosa are eating disorders that can go unseen for a time.
The cause as to why they start is difficult to determine.
Many of us are able to get through our days and do our best to resolve issues and conflict that we would prefer to otherwise ignore.
We may find relief in a cup of cappuccino or eat a chocolate candy bar and we are good to get through the next round.
There are some who find a way to find a sense of release in a way that most of us would never do.
Psychologically, most of us would not cause harm to ourselves on purpose but a Bulimic and Anorexic do not think this same way.
We all want to succeed and to have our dreams fulfilled.
Although it can be frustrating when one tries their best and then their friend ends up getting everything.
It is depressing when you try but then nothing goes right.
Not able to get the right job, not able to fit in, not able to fit into the new fashions; just one big frustration after another and the negativity wears one done.
Finding an out is what we end up looking for, something that we can do that will make us feel better.
This is what eating disorder's sufferers will do.
Finding a way to cope, a way to have control of something, to be able to feel that life is okay somewhere somehow even if just for a moment is what we all want.
Food, for many, can do this and even more so for a Bulimic and Anorexic.
The subconscious state that a Bulimic enters says it's okay to binge on a huge amount of food and then to purge it shortly afterward.
Why does the mind say that this eating pattern is okay? The subconscious of the Anorexic is similar but instead of binging, they reduce the amount of food that is eaten or don't eat at all might purge what they do eat.
What causes this psychological disorder of the mind to think that excessively overeating or not eating at all is okay? The feeling that exists in a very short moment in time that the Bulimic and Anorexic feel when they know they have control over food is what they strive for.
They can be beautiful and be healthy and have a great family and friends but what makes the mind say otherwise? Why does the Bulimic and Anorexic believe that they do not have the power to take control and why they are not worthy of others? Food is the release, although temporary, it works for the anorexic and bulimic.
These eating disorders are devastating and when discovered can be successfully conquered.
With a positive support from family and friends, a good diet, and therapy to help educate and guide them to a successful life is a very hard but huge step forward in the right direction.
