LinkedIn Tips to Build Your Connections

I started using LinkedIn in earnest this year.
As a result I have found that there are certain tips and techniques that are good to follow in order to have a great experience and ROI; that is with your time.
, Here are some that I found to be very useful: 1.
Make your description/specialties a bulleted list, rather than a paragraph.
You can include more keywords that way, and will show up in more searches.
2.
Rather than using the given "My Company" link for your Website, use "Other.
" That way you can enter the name of your company instead of having the generic header.
3.
Take advantage of the featured applications so you can add your blog, events, travel or even post PDFs about your services or products.
4.
Create an occasional Poll.
It will give you valuable information and create a dialog between you and your contacts.
5.
Get as many recommendations as you can, a minimum of 10.
Most people are happy to write one for you if you just ask.
And be willing to write one for them as well, so don't ask people to write one if you aren't prepared to do so in return.
Think outside the box.
Don't just ask former supervisors, but co-workers and even professors or classmates from your college or master's degrees.
6.
NEVER use the standard statement when you are asking people to LinkedIn to you.
There's a reason you want to connect to them.
Tell them in that request.
You are more likely to be accepted, and you've already started a conversation with them that way.
