How to Quit Smoking Cold Turkey

So you want to quit smoking and you want to do it cold turkey.
Sure it makes sense.
Why spend more money on trying to quit when saving money is the reason you want to quit? Give yourself a date and stick to it.
Get rid of everything and anything smoking related in your house in the mean time.
Rid your house of cigarettes, ashtrays and lighters.
Even rid your house of the smell of smoke, get the windows open and air out your rooms.
Just make everything around you seem fresh.
When your quit day arrives don't spend all day thinking about how you are going to quit.
Try pushing it out of your mind.
In fact the less you think about cigarettes and smoking the better.
Avoid places where you are most likely to have a cigarette.
Bars, Clubs and alcohol should be a strict no for the next three weeks or so.
Prepare yourself for any withdrawal symptoms that might come your way.
Reading up about the different withdrawal symptoms will help you a lot and you will at least know what to do spontaneously rather than having to search the internet for each and every different thing as it comes which only adds to your anxiety.
As I said the best tip on quitting cold turkey is that the less you think about it the better it will be for you.
If you get a headache take a headache relieve tablet.
If your mouth goes swollen and all dried up drink some nectar juice or get some sweets.
Bottom line is to be prepared.
If you have a craving, be prepared almost automatically with a response.
Don't sit there thinking about what you will do or start surfing the internet for answers.
All this should have been done before hand.
If you end up having a cigarette again quit again straight after that.
Don't start setting other dates and prolonging it by setting yet another quit day, just admit to yourself that you messed up and start again by getting rid of anything like matches or cigarettes that you might have bought.
Take your quitting seriously and be hard on yourself, if you don't one day your body will be hard on you.
