How to Reset Jeep Liberty Codes

    • 1). Locate the battery in the engine compartment. It is located on the driver's side directly behind the headlight.

    • 2). Loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable using the adjustable wrench and remove the cable from the negative post. Leave the cable unhooked from the battery for three to five minutes.

    • 3). Press the negative battery cable end onto the negative post.

    • 4). Tighten the bolt on the negative cable using the adjustable wrench until the cable end is tight and does not move on the post.

    • 5). Start the engine to ensure that the "check engine" light is no longer illuminated.
