- 1). Pull the lint trap out of the dryer. The lint trap will be located on different spots of the dryer depending on the model you own. In general, it will either be near the control knobs or in the interior of the dryer just inside the door.
- 2). Use your fingers to roll the lint off the screen. Run a used dryer sheet over the lint trap screen if the lint isn't coming off with your fingers.
- 3). Put the lint trap back into place in the dryer before using the machine.
- 1). Remove the lint trap from the dryer. Roll the lint from the screen with your fingers or a used dryer sheet.
- 2). Take the lint trap to the sink and wet both sides of the screen with hot water. Scrub both sides of the screen with a nylon scrub brush and hot, soapy water.
- 3). Rinse the screen well under hot water to remove all the soap and residue. Dry the lint trap thoroughly with a clean towel before putting it back into the dryer.
