Haiti Earthquake Damage

The earthquake has strike Haiti, the capital city, Port-Au-Prince on Tuesday, causing thousand of death but the death toll is yet to be known because many missing bodies are yet to be found. International rescue team has sent helicopter in search for missing bodies and victims stuck in inaccessible area due to rubble blockage. Dog stiffer are sent to search for survival underneath the debris.

Haiti earthquake damage has cause a major destruction to this small country. Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere and U.S and other European nations are sworn to provide aids, humanitarians and rescue efforts, while some countries provide financial aids.

The Haiti earthquake has cause major damage to several building such as hospital, residential building, government house and embassies. These buildings are collapse within second during the earthquake occurred. The disaster is being the worst in the last 200 years in the Caribbean’s region. As predicted by geographer, the area will be heavily impact with earthquake but the country is not ready for the disaster due to lacking of funds.

Fortunately, there is no second earthquake being reported. The Haiti Earthquake Relief’s teams are overwhelmed by the disaster while international rescue organizations and The Red Cross has set up mobilize hospital with shift change during the rescue. There are more medical equipment, medicines, supplies and doctors are sent to the affected areas. Some countries provide foods, blankets and clothes for the survival of the victims.

There is uncertainty for the amount of damage that has caused to Haiti, the death toll is unknown as reported by the local news agency, but not until all victims and missing persons are found.
