Outdoors is the place to be for many visitors to Miami, thanks to the temperate weather, gorgeous beaches and plentiful outdoor areas to explore in the unofficial capital of sunny South Florida. If you can tear yourself away from the beach or if you just need a dose of air-conditioning, there are plenty of interesting spots indoors in Miami, too. - If you're traveling with kids, you won't want to miss the indoor adventures at the Miami Children's Museum. The two-story museum is full of kid-pleasing, interactive exhibits that focus on everything from underwater ecosystems and the creatures of the Everglades to the rhythms of world music and the fun of caring for your own pet. You'll also find a busy roster of classes and demonstrations at traveling exhibits at this bilingual museum.
