In this article, we are going to look at a few details about the band so that when you go to hear them play, you are not among the disappointed lot.
History
Unlike the most popular country music performers, the Sugarland Duo is one group of people that have a very recent history. The team started in the year 2003 when two people: Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush decided to come together for the purpose of setting up a band or group that came to be known as Sugarland. This happened in the City of Atlanta in the state of Georgia. They took up Jennifer Nettles who was to become the lead singer of the group. As with many country artists who are not so well to do, they used to perform in pubs and bars, and other local clubs. However, they got tired of this and desired that they would grow big so that they would be able to hit both the national and the international market.
Their first break came when they struck a deal with the Mercury Nashville Records, something that enabled them to release their first album in the year 2004 that was referred to as "Twice the speed of life." The team however suffered a major blow when one of the founders of the group, Kristen, decided that enough was enough and that she should be spending more time at her home and takes some time off to ensure that she concentrated on her writing.
Despite the fact that Kristen was a major pillar of the group, the team went and forged ahead to win a Grammy award for one of their songs. There was a problem later on when the team was sued by one of their former members, Kristen, who wanted a share of the profits that they had been earning. A lot of people started thinking that the team was on its last days, but they proved the critics wrong and they went ahead to work together and became even stronger.
