Before hitting a tee shot, pay attention to your mini-map and the wind conditions. Avoid the sand and other hazards while at the same time accounting for the wind speed and direction. Always compensate for the wind speed and direction by hitting the ball in the opposite direction to some degree. Ball Spin

• The Tiger Woods games give you a bit more control than you have when playing real golf. After hitting a shot, you can use ball spin to get your ball closer to the hole after it hits the ground. Mastering ball spin can give you a powerful advantage over any opponent and drastically helps achieve those needed birdies and eagles. Because the controls for ball spin are slightly different from game to game, consult the owner's manual to find out more specifics on how to affect the ball's spin. Putting

• Putting is easy to do in Tiger Woods PGA Tour but difficult to master. Much patience and practice is needed to master the art of putting, just like in real golf. When selecting a putter, be sure to choose one that can hit further than the distance to the hole on max swing. This ensures that you will choose the appropriate putter to cover the distance needed and overpower any hills on the green. Aiming just beyond the hole is a safe bet, but not too far. You want to ensure that the ball will make it all the way to the hole. Also, remember that you can "cheat" and use the putting preview feature once per hole. The putting preview will show you the exact course the ball will take when hit under the current conditions.
