- 1). Check the throttle if your tractor is not starting and make sure it is all the way forward.
- 2). Test the battery by turning the headlights on and cranking the motor. The battery is dying or has no power if the lights dim or won't turn on and it will need recharging or replacement.
- 3). Check all the hoses for any signs of leaking and fill up all the fluids.
- 4). Experiment with the linkage and the clutch to make sure it is moving and adjusting correctly. If it is starting to seize up, your transmission may require service.
- 5). Remove the fuel filter in accordance with your tractor instructions and clean it out or replace it to make sure your engine is getting the proper fuel mixture.
