- 1). Remove the screws that fasten the electric guitar's face plate to gain access to the back of the tone pot.
- 2). Cut the two connections for the existing capacitor that is fastened to the bottom of the tone pot's connections
- 3). Hold one of the Black Ice capacitor's connections to the tone pots center terminal with needle nose pliers. Heat the connection with the soldering iron.
- 4). Press the rosin core solder against the connection until it melts and covers the connection. Remove the soldering iron and allow to cool. Repeat this process to connect the other terminal on the capacitor to the tone pot's ground located in the center.
