How to Find Mesprit in "Pokemon Pearl" for Nintendo DS

    • 1). Defeat Team Galactic to release Mesprit and her companions from captivity. Each Pokemon flees the building and goes to a different location.

    • 2). Fly to Lake Verity, then use a Pokemon's "Surf" move to travel across the lake. Enter the cavern in the center of the lake. Walk up to Mesprit and attempt to battle her. Upon seeing you, Mesprit runs from the cave.

    • 3). Gather your battle equipment, such as the Master Ball or Ultra Balls, and a Pokemon that has the ability to prevent Mesprit from escaping battle. An example of such a Pokemon may be Golbat or Dugtrio. Ensure that the Pokemon is at or near level 60.

    • 4). Head to the Valley Windworks, located next to Floaroma Town. Pull up your map. Having seen Mesprit at least once, her location is now marked on the map. Whenever you attempt to run or fly after her, however, she moves from the area. Catching her relies mainly on chance.

    • 5). Walk to the left of the Valley Windworks, then check the map again. If you see Mesprit in the area, check the grassy areas, and she may come out to battle you. If she has not moved into your area, return to Valley Windworks. Continue walking back and forth until she appears near you.

    • 6). Capture Mesprit by throwing a Master Ball at her, or prevent her from fleeing with your Dugtrio or Golbat. Weaken her in battle, as with any Pokemon, then throw your best Pokemon Balls until she is captured.
