- 1). Pack your luggage. Even if you ship your luggage, there are things you cannot pack as certain items cannot be mailed no matter how you send them. Any hazardous materials, liquor, firearms and perishable items are not mailable.
- 2). Take your luggage to UPS or FedEx. Both offer special luggage services. UPS has a special luggage box you can use to ship your items.
- 3). Select the type of delivery you would like, such as ground, three-day or overnight. Ground is generally the most economical, but may take up to a week. Therefore, the most economical choice only works if you plan far enough in advance.
- 4). Provide the shipping company with all of your address information and the destination information. Pay the fee and take the tracking number. Your luggage should be waiting for you when you reach your destination.
- 1). Pack your luggage, and again, take care not to include any hazardous materials, liquor, firearms and perishable items.
- 2). Call the luggage company. Well known luggage companies include Luggage Concierge and Luggage Club. Provide them with the date you would like your luggage picked up, how fast you want it to get to your destination and to which locale you are shipping. They will provide you with a quote; however, you should get a few so you have a basis of comparison.
- 3). Wait for the luggage company to pick up your luggage from your home on the designated day. You can also have them pick up your luggage from your job, or wherever you would like them to pick them up. The company then ensures that your luggage gets to your destination on the requested day.
