Acne is one of most common skin conditions in the world, affecting more than 40 million people.
Milk of magnesia for acne treatment is an effective way of treating acne.
It can be used for treating oily skin and acne affected skin.
You had a flawless complexion to flaunt during your teen years doesn't mean you have escaped the acne attack.
Acne is different for everyone, therefore what works for one person may not work as well for another.
1.
What is milk of magnesia? Milk of magnesia is a potent laxative, of course.
I used to jokingly tell patients to use it as a cough suppressant.
Milk of Magnesia is actually liquid magnesium.
Like clay, it's from the earth, but has disinfecting qualities and absorbs oil better than clay.
2.
Will milk of magnesia work for acne? Magnesium reduces the inflammation associated with acne breakouts, cleans pores, and limits sebum excretions.
Magnesium readily reacts with acids forming respective salts.
Most of these salts are hydrated in their natural way, magnesium rich foods are meats, seafood, green vegetable, dairy products, nuts, bananas, peanut butter and potatoes.
Milk of magnesia is an excellent topical treatment for inflamed, irritated skin.
3.
How to make it and apply the treatment If you are going out for a special occasion, make a solution in the sink using 1/4 cup Epsom salt & about 2 cups of warm water.
Just take a cotton ball and spread a thin layer on the affected areas on your face and let it dry (usually takes about as long as an ordinary facial mask, about 15 minutes).
4.
Side effects and what to avoid when applying this method You won't experience any side effects at all.
Never abuse this method, a couple times a week should be OK and keep out of children's reach.
Using too much can result to over drying and flakiness of the skin!
