- 1). Use the back of your child's bedroom or closet door for storage. An over-the-door pocket shoe holder is the perfect size for organizing art supplies, school supplies, jewelry or hair accessories. Screw some hooks along the back of the door and whip up a few draw-string bags out of fun fabrics to hold those toys that have lots of pieces.
- 2). Customize your child's bedroom door with a special paint job. If you're the artistic type, try painting their name across the top, or paint some wooden letters and screw them in place. Another fun idea is to insert a child-height peep hole into the door. Hang an empty frame around it to make it even more special.
- 3). Experiment with specialty paints. Turn your child's door into a message center with chalkboard or white board paint. You can also find paint to make the door magnetic, perfect for an ever-changing display of artwork.
