When I visit homes I'm always attracted to floating scented candles.
These types of candles are one of the most popular decorative candles out there.
You can do a host of different arrangements big and small.
You will see a lot of floating candles in weddings and special occasions.
The cool thing about floating candles is you have a little more sense of security since these candles are usually sitting in a bowl of water.
Some people will go to extremes and even put larger candles in huge bodies of water like a pool which can look really nice.
Some things to consider when selecting a floating candle: As with most candles you'll want to consider color, consider the event and how color will affect the mood your trying to convey.
Try to experiment with different colors to see how they will look lit up on the water.
Since you'll have the reflection of the color and the light off the water color is something to play around with.
Shape of your scented floating candle is also something to consider.
There are many shapes and sizes to choose from and you can even mix and match depending on the type of arrangement.
For example designs such as a flower or rose exist and are very popular for weddings and outdoor gatherings.
Other shapes and designs exist such as squares, triangles, octagons, stars and many others depending on the setting you're are going for.
Since I mentioned it above you also will want to consider scented or unscented.
If the event is outdoors it would probably take a lot of scent to make it worthwhile but if you're going for scent then you'll need to sample many to get what you're looking for.
The most common is going to probably be vanilla.
The final touch to the floating candle plan is the bowl that will house the candles.
Now bowls are endless for choices.
There are clear glass, ceramic or decorative.
One really nice arrangement is if you combine a fountain with some floating candles, although the fountain would have to be decent size so that it's not too cramped for the floating scented candles to stay lit with water splashing down on them.
With all the different combinations for colors, scents shapes and sizes you'll have all the ingredients you'll need to make the arrangement that will fit the setting you're looking for.
