How to Convert Negative Numbers in SAP

    • 1). Open your SAP spreadsheet and find the area where your negative numbers will be generated. The negative number will be automatically generated as you enter your information. The cell won’t display anything until you convert.

    • 2). Click on the spreadsheet cell with your mouse to activate the cell. Use your keyboard to enter information into the cell.

    • 3). Type the formula “=SUBSTITUTE(IF(RIGHT(TRIM(A1))="-",RIGHT(TRIM(A1))&A1,A1),"-","",2)+0” into the cell. Press “Enter” to enter the formula into the cell.

    • 4). Read the cell to make sure that it is displaying the number properly. It should display it as a positive number, such as “200.”

    • 5). Click on the cell if the number isn’t displaying properly. Check the formula to make sure you didn’t make any mistakes. Don’t include any spaces in the formula or it won’t work. Repeat this process with other cells if necessary.
