There are many interesting places to take children in Seattle. The city offers history museums, science centers, aquariums and children's museums, to name a few. Children can enjoy looking at tropical butterflies or learning about the oceans, environment, and local history. Many attractions are central to the Seattle area and are easy to take children to. - The Pacific Science Center has many activities for children. Exhibits include dinosaurs to engage those who are interested in prehistory, gigantic robot insects with activities, and live insect displays. A popular attraction is the tropical butterfly house where butterflies from all over the world flutter around exotic flowers and plants. If you are lucky you may see a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. For younger children, there is a play area where they can splash in the water and play with blocks.
