Why Choose Flying Over Driving?

Ask around, and you will find that people approach flying with various attitudes.
For some, flying is an exhilarating experience, from that first tilt of takeoff to the rolling stop at the gate.
For others, this exhilaration is marred by fear or other misconceptions of the flight experience.
Truth be told, there are lots of reasons to choose flying over driving when traveling long distances for your next trip.
Time Perhaps the biggest benefit to flying is the time factor.
A six hundred-mile trip to see the in-laws could take ten hours in good traffic and fair weather.
However, add a cranky toddler, fighting teens and "tweens", along with rest stops in the mix, and you could be looking at an exhausting trip that could last as long as twelve to fifteen hours.
If you hit rush hour or an accident...
it just is not fun.
Not only does traveling in this fashion eat into your precious time off, but it starts and ends your vacation on a negative note.
If you fly, you can reach your destination in a matter of a few hours, without the headaches and stresses of traditional car travel.
Fuel and Maintenance Costs Not only does flying save you time, but it can also save you money in the end.
Many flights can be booked in advance at huge discounts and savings.
These flights can be found on discount travel sites, and through the airlines themselves.
Flying on a plane can not only be affordable but can often be cheaper than the cost of automobile rental and gas.
It can also save you the trouble of dealing with a breakdown on the road, or an expensive repair due to excessive wear and tear on your car due to frequent travel.
Safety and Reliability Believe it or not, flying is far safer than driving.
Honestly, the most dangerous part of the whole flying experience is getting to the airport for your flight.
To match the fatality rate of automobiles on the road, a jumbo jetliner packed with passengers would have to fail and crash about once a month.
In reality, such crashes only occur about once every two years.
Whether convenience is what is being looked for, or just a cost effective alternative to driving to a destination, flying can be a wonderful experience.
With flying, the risks are minimal and the rewards out way the risks.
