- 1). Visit the Library Books App website to see if your library is supported by the Library Books app. If not, contact your local library or visit its Web page to see if it offers an app.
- 2). Tap the App Store icon on your iPhone.
- 3). Tap the search button at the bottom of the screen. Type "library books" and tap "Search" on the keyboard. If your library offers its own app, type in the name of your library.
- 4). Tap the "Library Books" listing. If your library offers its own app, tap that listing instead.
- 5). Tap the button with the price. At the time of publication, the Library Books app costs $2.99. Tap the button again when it turns green. Enter your Apple ID and password to confirm the download. The icon appears on your iPhone's home screen.
- 6). Tap the app when it is finished downloading. Tap "Settings," and then tap "Add Library Card." Enter your information.
- 7). Tap "Loans" to view the books you have borrowed and when they are due. Tap "Holds" to view books you have reserved and when they will be ready for pickup. Tap "History" to see books you have borrowed in the past. If your library has its own app, its directions may vary somewhat.
