- 1). Cut a rectangle of spandex fabric to about 1/2 inch larger than the widest point of your leg. Cut the rectangle long enough to reach from your thigh down to the bottom sole of your shoe.
- 2). Put on the high heels. Wrap the spandex around your leg starting from the part of your thigh where you want the boots to end and gradually going down to the bottom of the shoe. Pin the spandex with safety pins as tightly as you can to prevent the boot top from sliding down when you wear them.
- 3). Pin the spandex over the top of the shoe and around the heel. You may have to cut the fabric to get it to fit around the shoe.
- 4). Remove the spandex and shoe from your foot. Lay the fabric and high heel on a flat surface or table. Remove the shoe from the fabric.
- 5). Draw a chalk line on the fabric around the safety pins to make a seam line, so you can sew the fabric together.
- 6). Sew along the chalk line and remove the pins until you get to the bottom of the fabric. Sew the heel opening closed, but don't sew the bottom sole seam closed yet.
- 7). Trim off any excess fabric from the seam and turn the cover right-side out. Slide the high heel back inside the boot top and glue the sole fabric to the bottom of the shoe to hold it in place.
- 8). Fold down the tops of the boots and sew a hem to hide any uneven edges of fabric. Repeat the entire process for the other shoe.
