As a baby boomer, you have probably had a first date dress rehearsal before. This is when you go through your closet in search of that perfect outfit for that first date.
Whether you have had a dress rehearsal before or not, here are tips to guide you when deciding what to wear for that future first date.
Date Venue
Would it be appropriate to turn up for a black tie dinner dressed in a tight fitting jeans and tank top? How about going for bowling in a fancy dress? Well, this could easily turn out to be the scenario if you do not know where you will be going for the date.
Tailoring
Tailor your clothes to get a snug it. What you wear should not be too tight or too loose. Your clothes should be able to compliment your features and make you look good and feel confident.
Wearing clothes that expose too much, especially the cleavage for females is forbidden.
Comfort is everything
Wear what makes you comfortable. If you are not into casual dressing, then avoid jeans and polo shirts. If you do not feel comfortable in a suit, then don't wear one. Otherwise your uneasiness could end up putting the whole evening in jeopardy.
Less is more
Accessories and jewelry should be used sparingly to compliment your good features. Also avoid wearing too much cologne or aftershave. For female baby boomers putting on too much make up will only generate more questions than answers.
Avoid hiding your eyes
Hiding you face behind a baseball cap will not go down well with your date. Your date will probably want to stare into your eyes as you talk.
Tattoos and Other Marks
If you have tattoos and other drawings on your body, it is probably best to keep them covered on the first date. Therefore, choose something that will conceal them.
