- You can bring back the youthful shine of your hair by gently massaging a mixture of 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 cup of warm water into your hair and scalp. Rinse thoroughly.
- For softer hair, mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar into 2 cups of water and use to remove build-up that other styling products leave behind. Do this as the last step in your hair cleansing process, after shampooing and conditioning, and rinse thoroughly.
- Spending hot summer days in chlorine-filled pools can leave hair with a greenish tint. Use 2 cups of water and 1/4 cup of vinegar as a rinse to remedy the situation.
- If you're fighting the battle against dandruff, or dry scalp, rinse with 1/2 cup of vinegar to 2 cups of warm water. Add a few drops of coconut or sage oil and leave the rinse on for 30 minutes to 1 hour before rinsing for a deeper conditioning treatment.
- While white vinegar can do all of these things and more, it is best to use apple cider vinegar on hair. Apple cider vinegar contains more enzymes and minerals than its filtered counterpart, making it a better choice to soften your hair and dry scalp.
- Vinegar has been in use for more than 10,000 years, making it one of the oldest ingredients known to mankind.
