Most people think that doing a ton of sit ups is going to get them a flat stomach, but this could actually not be further from the truth.
You see, stomach toning exercise consists of cardio, because in order to tone your stomach, you first have to melt away fat.
I prefer to keep my cardio fun, such as running with my dog, kickboxing, etc.

Muscle confusion.
Even though sit ups are not the best way to get abs, they do help if you use muscle confusion.
Muscles adapt and grow when a new stimulus forces them to do so.
Therefore, if you want your muscles to keep growing then you need to change things up a bit.
If you are practicing stomach toning exercise make sure to incorporate some muscle confusion into your overall fitness plan.
These are 2 simple tips that will help you tone stomach muscles.
However, remember that abs are made by eating the proper foods, and melting stomach fat away.
