Cleaning a GE Smart Dispense Machine

    • 1). Watch for the low detergent light to illuminate on the front panel of your dishwasher, indicating that the dishwasher detergent supply is depleting.

    • 2). Use the manual-dispensing detergent cup on the inside of the dishwasher door for the next 10 wash cycles.

    • 3). Add between 8 and 10 ounces of water to the Smart Dispense container. The water will clear out the residue in the dispenser. Use the manual-dispensing detergent cup for the next 10 cycles.

    • 4). Refill the Smart Dispense container with the detergent of your choice after running the final 10 wash cycles.
