- 1). Keep your cardboard dry and also free of food residue and waste products.
- 2). Prepare cardboard boxes for recycling by removing any foreign materials, including bubble or plastic wrap, newspaper or polystyrene peanuts.
- 3). Break down your boxes with a box cutter and lay the sheets in one- to two-foot stacks, with the largest pieces at the bottom of each stack.
- 4). Weigh the individual stacks on your digital platform scale.
- 5). Keep a running tally of each stack’s weight until you’ve weighed your final stack.
