Cranberry Juice Stain Removal

    Carpet Stain Removal

    • Mix one tbsp. liquid dish soap with two cups cold water. Dampen a cloth in the mixture and blot the stain; continue to blot until the liquid is absorbed. Repeat until the stain is removed.

If a stain remains, mix one tbsp. of household ammonia with two cups of warm water. Dampen a clean cloth with the mixture and blot until the stain is removed, then sponge the area with cold water and allow to air dry.

    Fabric Stain Removal

    • Cranberry juice stains clothing more than any other surface. Flush the fabric with cold water. Mix one tbsp. of white vinegar with 1/2 tsp. liquid laundry detergent and one qt. cold water. Allow the fabric to sit in this solution for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

If the stain remains, try blotting the stain with rubbing alcohol and then rinse it thoroughly. Wash in a washing machine as usual, with chlorine bleach if it is safe for the garment.

    Upholstery Stain Removal

    • As soon as the spill occurs on upholstery, mix one tbsp. of white vinegar with 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol. Dampen a clean cloth with the alcohol and vinegar mixture and blot the stain. Blot until all of the cranberry juice is absorbed into the cloth. Repeat until the stain is gone. Blot with cold water to remove the vinegar and alcohol, then blot dry.
