- 1). Go to the "Be a Match" website listed in the resources. "The Match Registry" is the new name for the National Marrow Donor Program.
- 2). Click on the button titled "Join Now" listed in the blue box titled "Join Now".
- 3). Confirm that you meet the basic requirements for becoming a bone marrow donor. Check the boxes that apply to you to confirm your eligibility. As of 2010, these requirements include being between ages 18 to 60 and being in good overall health. Click "Go," after checking the boxes.
- 4). Read over the Terms of Service and the Donor Registration and consent for human leukocyte antigen, or HLA, Typing terms and click "I agree" to each. Type in your full legal name on the space provided and click "Next."
- 5). Fill out the information requested to set up your account and click "Next." Type in all of your personal information and purchase your testing kit. As of 2010, the cost for a testing kit is $100 and can be paid by credit or debit card. Confirm your information and your purchase.
